Normal & C-Section Delivery in Wakad, Pune

Normal and assisted deliveries, pain-relief options planned in advance, and planned or emergency C-sections — all in our in-house labour room and operation theatre.

The way a baby is born matters to every family, and the right plan is the one that is safest for you and your baby. We support you with clear information and no pressure, so that decisions about delivery are made together.

Normal (vaginal) delivery

When the pregnancy is progressing well, a vaginal delivery is usually the best option, with a quicker recovery for the mother. Our labour room supports both normal and assisted deliveries, with your progress and the baby’s heartbeat monitored throughout.

Painless delivery

Labour pain varies widely, and you should not have to decide about relief in the middle of it. We discuss options — including epidural-assisted pain relief — during your antenatal visits, so your preferences are known before labour begins.

Cesarean section (C-section / LSCS)

A cesarean section (LSCS, or lower segment cesarean section) may be planned in advance, or become necessary during labour. Common reasons include the baby’s position, a previous cesarean, problems with the placenta, or concern about the baby’s wellbeing in labour. Both planned and emergency C-sections are performed in our in-house operation theatre, with the same team following through into your recovery.

Care for your newborn

A paediatrician is available during delivery to look after your baby from the first moments, and is also available for newborn follow-up visits afterwards.

Preparing for delivery

By the third trimester we cover: signs of labour and when to come in, what to bring to the hospital, birth preferences, pain-relief choices, and early breastfeeding, so that there are few surprises on the day.

FAQs

Common questions

Is painless delivery available?

Yes. Epidural-assisted labour analgesia is available, and pain-relief options are discussed with you in advance so you know what to expect.

How do you decide between normal delivery and a C-section?

Where it is safe, we support a normal delivery. A C-section is recommended only when there is a medical reason, such as the baby's position, fetal distress, a previous C-section scar issue, or maternal conditions. The decision is explained to you fully.

What if I need an emergency C-section during labour?

The operation theatre is in the same hospital, so there is no transfer during labour. The same team that follows you through labour can proceed straight to surgery if needed.

Is a paediatrician present at the delivery?

Yes. A paediatrician is available during delivery to examine and care for your newborn, and for newborn follow-up visits afterwards.

When should I come to the hospital in labour?

Come in when contractions are regular and getting stronger, when your waters break, if you notice bleeding, or if the baby's movements reduce. We will go over this with you in the last weeks of pregnancy.
